Job Description
We are looking for a Second Engineer to join our fleet in Brazil, which is currently undergoing significant expansion.
You will have the opportunity to work on a fleet of modern vessels with high technological capacity and participate in dynamic, highly complex operations, such as:
· Anchor handling and torpedo loading on AHTS vessels;
· Inspection, maintenance, subsea construction, and saturation diving on RSV, CSV, DSV, and MPSV vessels;
· Flexible pipe laying on PLSV vessels.
We are looking for professionals who bring expertise in the operation, maintenance, and planning of the engine room, combined with strong management skills for people and processes, with a focus on safety, operational efficiency, and technical excellence.
Main responsibilities:
- Replace the Chief Engineer when necessary and ensure the daily proper functioning of engines, electrical systems, pumps, cargo equipment, oil systems, and other mechanical installations on board;
- Plan, distribute, and monitor routine and preventive maintenance tasks;
- Update and maintain the Engine Logbook and Oil Record Book in order;
- Train and mentor crew members, cadets, and apprentices, following company standards and procedures;
- Monitor materials, tank soundings, bunkering, and compliance with legal requirements;
- Operate internal communication systems and be familiar with emergency procedures;
- Ensure the safety, organization, cleanliness, and operational status of facilities and equipment;
- Participate in integrated operations, risk assessments, and pollution prevention actions;
- Ensure the correct use of PPE and supervise the safety of the entire team;
- Keep certificates and documents up to date, including the Maritime Health Certificate.
Your responsibility is to perform your tasks punctually and within the company's quality standards.

- Experience in the role;
- Experience on DP2, diesel-electric, and/or desirable diesel-mechanical vessels;
- Intermediate/advanced English;
- Valid certifications:
- STCW III/2;
- ECIA / CACI;
- TBS;
- EBCP/EOPN;
- EPSM;
- EESS;
- ERM;
- HIVOL1/ HPAV1 AND HIVOL2/ HPAV2;
- CEER;
- Up to date with DPVM renewal.

This is a position to be performed Offshore on board one of the ships in our fleet on a 28x28 rotation.
