Visiting Faculty, Senior Executive in Residence (Faculty)

THIS IS AN EXTERNALLY FUNDED PART TIME POSITION. EMPLOYMENT IS CONTINGENT UPON CONTINUED FUNDING FROM THE EXTERNAL PROVIDERS OF VARIOUS FUNDING SOURCES.

This position is located in Athens, Ohio. Hybrid or remote work site will be allowed.

Senior Executive in Residence This position requires a flexible team player who will assist faculty, professional staff, and students with technical assistance, applied research, data compilation/analysis, project administration, grant management and report writing in applied research areas and specifically in population and public health research. The EIR will provide research assistance on projects that bridge the gap between academic expertise and public health policy, by assisting the Ohio Department of Medicaid and Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center’s Government Resource Center to improve the health and well-being of Ohioans by providing data-driven solutions to government agencies. The Senior Executive in Residence will have the following responsibilities:

Interface with organizational officials at high levels.

Leading and/or assisting with developing applied research protocols, instruments, cognitive testing, and other tasks as assigned.

Provide methodological guidance and formal recommendations for applied research design and/or analysis.

Complete analysis of data, such as by developing analytic memos, coding data, summarizing emergent findings from analysis matrices, and/or drawing meta-inferences across qualitative and quantitative data.

Interpret cognitive interview data and assist in developing informed § recommendations for survey item development and revision.

Produce final deliverables/reports.

Collaborate, lead, and assist with conducting ongoing applied research projects that provide technical and research assistance to the Ohio Department of Medicaid.

Provide support to external organizations like Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center’s Government Resource Center.

Collaborate with faculty, professional staff, and students on other projects/duties as assigned. This includes assisting with grant applications, program management activities, project reports, and preparing/giving presentations and other activities to be determined, as relevant.

Contribute subject matter and policy expertise and consultation, with a focus on rural health.

Participate in project team meetings with project partners and project sponsors, to discuss the project’s work stream, project development, and progress.
