Job Description
- Leading, organizing, and coordinating the work of the Securities Team regarding custody services;
- Responsibility for the high-quality, timely, and reliable provision of custody services to the Bank's clients;
- Organizing the processes of opening and maintaining custody accounts and securities records for clients;
- Coordinating the receipt, control, and execution of client instructions related to the receipt, delivery, and transfer of securities;
- Coordinating and supervising the settlement process of securities transactions and related cash flows;
- Ensuring the proper recording and segregation of client assets from the Bank's assets;
- Coordinating the implementation of corporate actions and the realization of client rights from securities, including the collection of principal, interest, dividends, and other related rights;
- Organizing timely and high-quality information and reporting for clients;
- Collaborating and communicating with the Securities Registry in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Securities Commission of the FBiH, the stock exchange, banks, professional intermediaries, and other relevant institutions and market participants;
- Ensuring the accuracy and compliance of the Bank's internal records with the records of relevant institutions;
- Establishing, implementing, and improving operational controls in processes under the Team's jurisdiction;
- Monitoring regulatory requirements and market standards in the field of custody and initiating their timely implementation;
- Participating in the creation and improvement of procedures, instructions, and other internal acts governing custody operations;
- Cooperation with risk management, business compliance, anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing, internal audit, and other organizational units of the Bank;
- Active participation in the development of new custody services, digitalization, and improvement of existing processes;
- Developing the professional knowledge of Team members and building a culture of responsibility, quality, and continuous improvement.
Required Experience
- At least 3 years of relevant work experience in banking, financial institutions, securities operations, or capital markets;
- Good understanding of capital market functioning and the lifecycle of securities transactions;
- Knowledge of settlement, recording, and safekeeping processes for securities;
- Good understanding of the regulatory framework of the securities market;
- Direct experience in securities custody operations;
- Experience in custody, settlement, securities operations, back office, or related roles;
- Experience working with the Securities Registry and other capital market institutions;
- Knowledge of corporate actions and processes for exercising rights from securities;
- Experience in improving or automating operational processes;
- Experience in leading or coordinating a team.
Required Skills, Qualifications, and Knowledge
- University degree in economics, law, or another appropriate field;
- Active knowledge of the English language;
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office tools;
- Strong analytical and organizational skills;
- Ability to take responsibility, set priorities, and coordinate multiple processes simultaneously;
- Developed communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, institutions, and colleagues;
- High level of precision, reliability, and professionalism.
