- Leading and directing work inspectors from different disciplines to ensure that all construction activities are performed in accordance with the contract, specifications, and approved procedures.
- Conducting regular multi-disciplinary site inspections to monitor progress, verify workmanship, and identify any non-conformances or interface issues between disciplines.
- Monitoring work progress, identifying potential delays or constraints, and supporting corrective actions to keep the project on track.
- Ensuring proper documentation of site activities, including inspection reports, progress reports, quality records, and safety documentation across all disciplines.
- Coordinating with contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of materials, resources, and information for infrastructure and MEP/instrumentation works.
- Supporting testing and commissioning activities for infrastructure and building services components (e.g., drainage networks, road sections, utility connections, MEP systems, instrumentation), ensuring systems meet required performance and functionality before handover.
- Promoting and enforcing health, safety, and environmental requirements on site, ensuring that all personnel adhere to project HSE procedures.
What Required Skills You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline from a recognized institution.
- More than 10 years of total post-graduate experience in construction supervision, with a minimum of 5 years in a similar Site Engineer role on large-scale infrastructure services projects (roads, drainage, utilities, and/or MEP/instrumentation).
- Proven experience supervising infrastructure works such as roads, drainage networks, utility corridors and chambers, and coordinating with MEP and instrumentation teams on site.
- Strong understanding of construction standards, codes, and regulations relevant to infrastructure and building services in Qatar.
- Ability to read and interpret multi-disciplinary engineering drawings, technical specifications, and contract documents.
- Experience in QA/QC processes on site, including inspection, recording non-conformances, and supporting corrective actions across various disciplines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); familiarity with basic project management tools and CAD viewing software.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to prepare clear site reports and technical correspondence.
- MMUP / MME registration in Qatar as an Engineer is mandatory.
