Summary of Job Description:
The OU-HCOM Office of Institutional Assessment and Accreditation (OIAA) seeks a motivated computer science student to provide database management and various computer support services to the OIAA. Attention to detail is of utmost importance and required for this position.
Responsibilities/Tasks include the following:
Uploading data from various college units into the main OIAA SPSS longitudinal dataset per the task schedule.
Performing quality audits of specified variables and working with OIAA staff to identify and resolve data conflicts.
Writing SQL queries to update/extract, analyze, and report data from large databases/datasets.
Creating customized datasets.
Making recommendations to improve the quality and functionality of the SPSS longitudinal dataset.
Developing new coding, based on best practices, to increase the efficiency and accuracy of the office’s current data collection, management and reporting processes.
Making necessary updates to existing code.
Creating and maintaining up-to-date database/dataset documentation.
Monitoring the database/dataset and troubleshooting issues as needed.
Performing regular backups on the OIAA SPSS longitudinal dataset.
Assisting with updating the OIAA website and special projects as requested.
Other duties as assigned.

Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work with minimal supervision and exercise discretion in dealing with confidential data as well as the ability to work as part of a team.
Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize work to meet deadlines.
