Job Description
As an Associate Technical Director - Design at Ubisoft Montreal, you will support the technical vision and production workflows related to game systems and content configuration. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create scalable solutions, improve work methods, and ensure the reliability of data structures supporting large-scale content production for the Siege project.
What you will do
- Create and maintain MTX templates for customization items in development
- Define and document reusable data structures that promote scalable content production
- Identify opportunities to develop tools and automation to improve workflow efficiency and data configuration
- Contribute to the implementation of sustainable and scalable production practices related to game systems and content workflows
- Manage multidisciplinary data configuration needs outside of animation, audio, or graphics
- Collaborate with multiple teams to support feature integration and technical configuration needs
- Support the AI team in configuring the data necessary for deploying AI bots on game maps
- Act as a point of contact for shared configuration workflows and production support
- Contribute to knowledge sharing and alignment with Siege project Design technical leadership globally
- Promote common standards and a collaborative approach to problem-solving between studios
Qualifications

- Experience related to technical workflows, data configuration, or production pipelines in video game development
- Knowledge of customization content workflows, scalable data structures, or technical production processes
- Ability to write and maintain clear technical documentation
- Understanding of practices related to tools, automation, and workflow optimization
- Interpersonal skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary and international teams
- Organizational skills and strong priority management in a production environment
- Problem-solving approach focused on practical and scalable solutions
- Proficiency in English required to collaborate with international teams and use technical documentation primarily available in English
