Job Description

What your weeks will look like

  • Design and integrate complex UI systems directly in Unreal Engine (UMG/Slate);
  • Create and optimize custom shaders and materials for advanced visual effects;
  • Collaborate with designers, artists, and programmers to solve cross-platform integration challenges;
  • Debug, profile, and optimize UI systems to ensure smooth performance across PC, consoles, and other platforms;
  • Develop the UI development pipeline in Unreal Engine in collaboration with the technology leadership team;
  • Participate in project retrospectives to improve future UI processes;
  • Contribute to the evolution of UI tools, templates, and workflows used across the studio.

Qualifications

What we’re looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, UX/UI Design, Digital Arts, or another related field, combined with equivalent relevant experience;
  • Approximately five (5) years of experience in UI design for video games;
  • Excellent command of Unreal UMG and Blueprints (Slate is considered an asset);
  • Experience with Unreal animation systems is considered an asset;
  • Advanced skills in shader and material creation;
  • Good understanding of UX and interaction design principles;
  • Strong interest in complex technical challenges and optimization;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in both French and English;
  • Portfolio and/or demo required;
  • Availability to travel internationally when required.
