About The Opportunity
Bundaberg Regional Council is seeking an experienced Plant Operator to join our Civil team based at Gin Gin. In this hands-on role, you'll contribute to the construction, maintenance and repair of local roads and drainage infrastructure that keeps our communities connected and safe.
Working as part of a multi-skilled team, you'll operate heavy vehicles and plant, assist with a wide range of civil works, and help deliver projects that have a direct impact across the region. This is a practical, varied role where your skills make a visible difference every day.
About You
You are a reliable and safety-focused operator who enjoys working outdoors and contributing to meaningful infrastructure projects.
To succeed in this role, you will have:
- A current HC Drivers Licence or ability to obtain, with experience operating heavy vehicles.
- Proven experience in roads and drainage construction and maintenance.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills across diverse crews.
- Possession of a current Construction Industry General Safety Induction Card.
- Working in Proximity to Traffic Parts 1 & 2 Certification or willing to obtain prior to commencement.
- Ability to work outside normal working hours as required.
Desirable:
- Possession of a Traffic Controller Accreditation with experience undertaking traffic control and signage set-out on public roads.
- RII tickets for a variety of plant, including grader, front-end loader, backhoe, excavator and roller.
