The Fisher College of Business is accepting applications for a 75% FTE Semester Lecturer appointment (temporary position) to teach undergraduate and/or graduate course(s)in the Department of Management and Human Resources. We seek candidates with expertise and teaching experience in organizational behavior, human resources, management, entrepreneurship and innovation, and/or business strategy. Experience in each area is not a requirement, but ideally candidates are experienced in teaching in more than one discipline.

The main tasks will include: teaching in different modalities (in-class, online, hybrid) throughout the academic year, curriculum/syllabus design, content and materials development, and service activities.

The selected candidate(s) will be expected to complete activities and support for developing and teaching undergraduate and/or graduate students, depending on chosen candidate’s degree certification.

All courses are taught in person on the University’s main campus in Columbus, Ohio.

•    Creating and maintaining course platforms on the learning management platform (Carmen Canvas)

•    Presenting course material and guiding students through assignments

Education and Experience Requirements

•    Master’s degree in a related field of study

•    Demonstrated teaching experience

•    Strong communication and interpersonal skills

•    Ability to effectively engage with students in both traditional and online learning environments

•    Ability to collaborate with fellow instructors, graduate teaching associates, and undergraduate teaching assistants

•    Minimum of 5 years of professional industry experience or completion of MHR related PhD program

•    Demonstrated success in managerial and/or leadership positions

•    Valuable teaching outcomes demonstrated through student evaluations

Additional Information:

Desired Qualifications

•    PhD or similar terminal degree in a related field of study

•    Demonstrated experience with the use of Artificial Intelligence

•    Demonstrated ability to incorporate creative pedagogy in the classroom
