About the role

We are looking for an experienced and relationship-focused Senior Foundation & Institutional (F&I) Relationships Officer to join our Fundraising team. You will manage a portfolio of foundation and institutional funders, delivering excellent account management and stewardship while helping to secure continuation and increased funding.

You will play an important role across the full grant lifecycle, from developing compelling applications and donor communications through to reporting, compliance and ongoing relationship management. You will also support new business activity through prospect research, proposal development and funder cultivation, working closely with colleagues across Fundraising, Campaigns and Finance.

About you

You are an experienced fundraising professional with a strong understanding of trust, foundation and statutory funding and a proven ability to develop positive, long-term relationships with institutional donors. You have excellent written and verbal communication skills and can turn complex information into compelling funding proposals, reports and donor communications.

Highly organised and detail-focused, you are comfortable managing multiple priorities, coordinating grant activity and using your initiative to identify opportunities and solve problems. You enjoy working collaboratively across teams, are confident engaging with funders and senior colleagues, and are motivated by securing sustainable funding that enables Global Witness to deliver meaningful change.

Interview process

Preliminary interviews with be held virtually, date to be confirmed. You will receive the interview questions 1 week ahead of the interview via email to enable you to prepare.

There will be a short writing assignment/test, to be completed alongside the first interview. This will be sent in advance.
