Job Description

The George Washington University Development and Alumni Relations (DAR) Division is seeking a Senior Prospect Analyst.

DAR is responsible for leading the university’s alumni and fundraising efforts and seeks to promote a culture of philanthropy throughout the university community, including alumni, students, parents, faculty, staff, corporations and foundations, patients, and other friends. Our goal is to advance GW’s mission of excellence in education, research, scholarship, and patient care.

This experienced position researches potential prospects to support fundraising efforts under limited supervision. The core responsibilities of this role are to collect information on potential prospects and donors and to analyze, interpret, synthesize, and appropriately disseminate data in a user-friendly format, working to match the charitable and economic interests of prospective donors. This role proactively identifies prospects via screening, alerts, and other routine activities, composes detailed reports providing critical prospect intelligence to inform engagement and solicitation strategy decisions, and partners with fundraisers to ensure gift officers are asking the right prospect for the right donation at the right time. This position collaborates and shares expertise with other team members. The position may manage students and/or one employee.
