LOCATION: London Television Centre (TVC) – Hybrid.

PROPOSED SALARY RANGE: £36,000-£38,000 plus London Weighting with eligibility for the Ad Sales bonus scheme. Salary depends on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

The Programme Partnerships team sits within BBC StoryWorks and is responsible for the creation of award-winning digital series for BBC.com’s global audiences outside the UK. Creating written and video branded content to realise best in class content campaigns that educate, inform and entertain audiences.

Combining our BBC storytelling heritage with industry expertise, we look deeper into the issues shaping society for organisations leading change.

Through unique research and insight, we create original commercial content for global brands that tell stories from organisations and industries to BBC.com audiences and beyond.

The Producer role involves creating high-quality short‑form documentary films for commercial partners, working with multiple stakeholders to deliver projects from concept to completion. They bring creative and editorial flair to develop engaging, audience-first storytelling across a wide range of subjects, including health, technology, business, sport, wellness and sustainability.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND IMPACT:

  • Produce and originate distinctive multiplatform content.
  • During busy periods assist other producers as required.
  • Create and shape compelling narratives aligned with client objectives and BBC editorial integrity.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously across different territories.
  • Act as the primary day‑to‑day contact for clients and partners.
  • Oversee all production logistics including shoots, contributors, locations and post-production workflows.
  • Ensure all deliverables meet BBC StoryWorks editorial, legal and compliance standards.

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:

  • Proven experience in producing and directing short-form films and social content from concept to final delivery.
  • Experience producing content end-to-end, including pre-production planning, shoot coordination, and post-production workflows.
  • Experience collaborating with directors, creatives, clients, and stakeholders to deliver against creative objectives.
  • Highly developed planning and organisational skills, with the ability to manage several areas of work at once, prioritise effectively, deliver consistently to deadlines and respond positively to change and conflicting priorities.
  • Excellent editorial judgement and a strong understanding of the target audience, their needs and expectations.

DESIRABLE CRITERIA:

  •  A thorough knowledge of BBC Editorial Guidelines and other compliance policies, or the ability and willingness to acquire this knowledge quickly.
  • Experience in supporting Producers and Executive Producers across all stages of production, acting as a key liaison from onboarding new producers, reviewing briefs, and giving creative feedback.
  • Commitment to keeping up to date with emerging industry trends.
  • Proven experience of the latest production techniques and technologies
