Job Description:

Principal Engineer - Dry utilities

Abu Dhabi, UAE

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Principal Engineer - Dry utilities to join our team!

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Independently carry out designs of Electrical Power distribution systems and prepare electrical HV and LV Designs, lighting designs for community developments, tunnels, car park structures and other infrastructure development projects.

  • Prepare Earthing Design as per IEC/ IEEE Standards.

  •  Prepare Power cable sizing calculations using industry software.

  • Hands on experience in the detailed design of pump stations and treatment plants.

  • Carry out electrical Load Flow Study Short Circuit analysis and Earthing design using industry standard software.

  • Prepare Electrical design for MV/LV/FOC/ELV systems of Tunnels and under passes.

  • Design Fire alarm and Life safety systems and shall be conversant with NFPA as well as Local Civil Defense Regulations.

  • Provide input and technical guidance to CAD Designer/Drafters, Designers, and associate Engineers working on the same project.

  • Preparation of detailed technical, commercial and Life Cycle Cost Analysis of various technical alternatives.

  • Suggest Value engineering to optimize design without compromising the techno-functional requirements. Prepare and deliver detailed technical reports and presentations for the Clients.

What Required Skills You’ll Bring:

  • Bachlor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or relevant discipline from an accredited University.

  • Minimum of 12+ years of experience in Electrical design and construction field of large infrastructure projects like Electrical systems, road lighting projects, Falcon eye, Telecom network and Electrical works related with Roads and Bridges.

  • Software: PSS Sincal, REVIT, Navisworks and ETAP.

  • Must have knowledge of TAQA requirements.
