Job Description

As a Data Analysis Assistant, you will contribute to the activities of the sales analysis and development team by participating in the collection, analysis, and interpretation of data to answer business questions related to acquisition, retention, monetization, and performance tracking. Under the supervision of more experienced analysts or team leads, you will contribute to the production of reports, dashboards, and simple analyses that enable teams to better understand business trends.

This position is ideal for a curious person who is efficiency-oriented through AI, analytical, collaborative, and eager to develop data analysis skills in a business and video game context. This is a 6-month contract.

What You Will Do

  • Participate in the collection, preparation, and analysis of data related to buyers, subscribers, and players from various sources to support business questions related to acquisition, retention, monetization, and performance tracking.
  • Support multidisciplinary teams in analyzing key business trends and evaluating sales and marketing performance, contributing to the identification of data-driven opportunities and insights.
  • Contribute to the documentation of SQL queries, processes, methodologies, and conclusions to support knowledge sharing and data integrity.
  • Participate in data management activities to maintain sound data governance and report accuracy, and take part in identifying and resolving data issues alongside senior analysts and other data teams.
  • Use, when relevant and in accordance with company guidelines, AI-assisted tools to support various data analytics tasks, such as query writing, data exploration, documentation, information synthesis, and process efficiency improvement.
  • Create dashboards, reports, and presentations to communicate results to stakeholders and contribute to data valorization through data storytelling.
  • Participate in team initiatives, including supporting the migration to Databricks by executing assigned tasks such as testing, documentation, validation, or updating dashboards and queries.

Qualifications

What You Will Bring

  • Currently studying or recently graduated with a degree in a technical or quantitative discipline (data science, mathematics, statistics, computer science, engineering, or related field).
  • Knowledge of SQL query concepts and data mining.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel (including pivot tables).
  • Technical comfort, quick learning ability, and curiosity.
  • Collaborative spirit and strong communication skills.
  • Organizational sense and comfort with technical documentation writing.
  • Interest in or experience with AI tools or AI-assisted workflows for tasks such as SQL query writing, dataset analysis, process documentation, or results synthesis.

Assets

  • Experience with tools such as Databricks, Snowflake, Teradata, or Hive
  • Knowledge of Python and/or R
  • Knowledge of VBA or automated data connections
  • Experience with business intelligence visualization tools, including Power BI (primarily), Tableau, Looker, or others
  • Passion for the video game industry
