The Paul G. Allen School of Computer Science & Engineering has an outstanding opportunity for a temporary Senior Admissions Program Manager to join their team.
About this Opportunity
Under the supervision of the Senior Assistant Director of Advising, the Senior Admissions Project Manager is responsible for the day-to-day administration, coordination, and continuous improvement of undergraduate transfer & current UW student admissions processes within the Paul G. Allen School of Computer Science & Engineering. This is a temporary role to fill in for staff on extended leave. This position provides operational support for admissions cycles, oversees application review logistics, manages admissions communications and policy implementation, coordinates reader training and calibration, and serves as a key liaison among advising, admissions committees, the Office of Admissions, and technology partners. The person in this role will need to be detail-oriented as it requires tracking of project timelines, admission policies, and tracking of multiple application review systems to ensure equitable, efficient, and policy-compliant admission operations.
This is a temporary position with a duration from approximately November 2026 - July 2026.
Key Responsibilities
Admissions Coordination (20%)
- Manage the day-to-day administration of undergraduate current UW & transfer admissions processes and maintain a comprehensive understanding of all workflows, timelines, and requirements.
- Implement admissions timelines, review schedules, and set key deadlines in consultation with the Admissions Administrative Team.
- Schedule and coordinate admissions meetings, training, and application review activities.
- Manage admissions-related Slack channels and communications.
- Track application review completion, and alert the Admissions Administrative Team regarding reviewer participation or workload concerns.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of current policies and procedures in order to ensure compliance and equity throughout the process
- Test admissions applications and related technology prior to each admissions cycle to ensure functionality and readiness and report back to the Admissions Administrative Team.
- Troubleshoot operational issues impacting admissions workflows.
Admissions Policy Support (20%)
- Assist the Admissions Administrative Team in the development, revision, and maintenance of admissions roles, responsibilities, and procedural documentation.
- Serve on the Allen School Admissions Policy Subcommittee to support the development and revision of admission criteria, procedures, and policies.
- Record and maintain meeting notes for Admissions Administrative Team and Admissions Policy Committee meetings.
- Update admissions policies, procedures, and supporting documentation based on committee decisions and stakeholder feedback.
- Synthesize feedback from admissions cycles and report out to stakeholders regarding policy and process improvements.
Admissions Training & Reader Development (10%)
- Revise and maintain training materials for admissions readers and the verification team.
- Draft new reader training materials.
- Prepare and update presentation materials, training guides, and supporting resources for admissions review cycles.
- Assist with admissions reviewer training and annual calibration activities to ensure consistency in application evaluation.
- Coordinate training schedules and communications for all admissions review participants
- Ensure admissions training materials reflect current policies and procedures.
Application Review & Eligibility Management (30%)
- Coordinate committee work related to:
- Prerequisite exceptions and substitutions.
- Application verification process including eligibility reviews.
- Notifying ineligible applicants and managing the appeals process.
- Flag Review
- Manage the transfer prerequisite exception review process.
- Present complex eligibility and prerequisite cases to the Admissions Administrative Team for review and decision-making.
- Monitor compliance with admissions requirements and application verification standards.
- Advise prospective transfer and current UW applicants on the application process during appointments and over email.
- Help troubleshoot issues that come up around the online application process.
- Identify incomplete applications and communicate to applicants (if applicable).
Communications & Applicant Outreach (20%)
- Draft and maintain admissions correspondence, including:
- Admission decision communications
- Applicant notifications
- Review-related communications
- Manage the transfer admissions prerequisite exception and pre-check forms and ensure timely responses and follow-up actions.
- Ensure applicant-facing information is accurate, up-to-date, and aligned with current policy.
- Provide needed admissions policy updates to all stakeholders: Senior Program Manager for Recruitment, Student Recruitment Representatives, Advising Team, Peer Advisers, etc.
- Update websites with any necessary materials in partnership with the recruitment team.
Required Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Counseling, STEM, or a related field and two years of college admissions and/or outreach experience, or equivalent.
- Applicants who do not meet these qualifications WILL NOT be forwarded to the Hiring Manager.
Additional Qualifications
- Excellent organizational skills and a demonstrated ability to multi-task, prioritize work, and manage heavy workloads with frequent interruptions.
- Demonstrated experience organizing and collaborating with multiple stakeholders.
- Ability to pick-up and learn administrative tools and systems used by our department including Microsoft Office, Google’s suite, Slack, etc.
