Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and collaborative individual to join our team as a Student Marketing Assistant. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the creation of a range of digital content, from email campaigns to social media, while supporting the planning and organisation of University marketing projects and activities, within a dynamic and inclusive environment.

You will be responsible for:

  • Assist with preparing content for emails and digital channels, including short copy and light edits to images.
  • Support the build, proofreading and scheduling of email campaigns using approved platforms, templates and sign-off processes.
  • Contribute ideas for email content, social campaigns and other ways to reach prospective students.

About You

Essential Criteria:

  • Have experience working in a team where clear steps and processes need to be followed and can stay organised and flexible when priorities change.
  • Can draft and proof short, simple and engaging text for emails or other digital content, following templates and guidance, with close attention to spelling, grammar and tone.
  • Can check text, images and layouts for accuracy and consistency in line with brand guidelines.
  • Feel confident using everyday digital tools (such as Microsoft Office or Teams) and are willing to learn new marketing systems and basic creative software.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Have supported email campaigns using an email marketing platform (for example Spotler, Mailchimp or a similar system) under guidance.
  • Have prepared or edited simple graphics, photos or short videos using tools such as Canva, following templates or briefs.
  • Have contributed content for social media or websites within brand guidelines, under supervision.
