Job Description
The Chemistry Department is seeking a part-time instructor to teach CHE 103: Chemistry in the Modern World (4 credits) for the Fall 2026 semester. This course explores the basic concepts and principles of chemistry and applications of chemistry to problems in the modern world.
The lecture meets in-person each Monday and Wednesday from 2:15pm-3:35pm. Additionally, the instructor will be required to attend multiple in-person lab sessions per week. The instructor will be supported by being provided syllabus templates and assistance related to exam preparation and assignments. Office staff aid with class logistics and student organization.
The hiring rate of pay for the successful candidate will be determined based on their per-credit-rate history within in the hiring department. All course offerings are subject to funding availability and enrollment. Current internal applicants will receive priority consideration.
