DOF is looking for motivated and eager-to-learn Ordinary Seamen for our NOR-registered AHTS and PSV vessels in the North Sea. This is an exciting opportunity for those who want to build sea time, develop skills, and take the next step toward a Certificate of Proficiency as an Able Seaman.

We are therefore looking for candidates who are proficient in a Scandinavian language, both orally and in writing.

As an Ordinary Seaman, you will be part of a professional crew on modern offshore vessels performing supply and anchor handling operations on the Norwegian Continental Shelf. You will receive practical training, close follow-up, and valuable experience in deck work, safety, maintenance, and maritime operations.

Responsibilities

As an Ordinary Seaman, you will, among other things, contribute to:

• General deck work and maintenance of the vessel
• Cleaning, painting, and preparation of the vessel and equipment
• Loading and unloading of supplies and deck equipment
• Mooring operations
• Assisting during anchor handling operations where applicable
• Maintenance of deck machinery and other equipment
• Participating in the vessel's safety and emergency organization
• Lookout duties and watch-related tasks once competence is achieved
• Complying with DOF's high standards for safety, quality, and the environment

Qualifications

• Basic Safety Training (STCW)
• Valid medical certificate for seafarers
• Security Duties/Security Awareness
• Valid passport and necessary travel documents

Maritime experience is an advantage, but not a requirement.

We also encourage candidates with experience from practical and physical professions to apply. Examples include:

• Construction
• Industry and manufacturing
• Mechanical trades
• Shipyard and maintenance work
• Aquaculture and fisheries
• Transport and logistics
• The Armed Forces or other operational environments

Experience from work where safety, teamwork, practical skills, and physical effort are central will be emphasized.
