Job Summary
General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI), an affiliate of General Atomics, is a world leader in proven, reliable remotely piloted aircraft and tactical reconnaissance radars, as well as advanced high-resolution surveillance systems.
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Business Systems Analyst to work within our Aeronautical Systems Finance Solutions & Services (FS&S) group in Poway, CA. This position, under general direction, is chartered with providing data-driven solutions to business problems through the development, enhancement, and support of applications, reports, and tools. The employee will also apply foundational project management and technical skills to support the planning and execution of artificial intelligence and machine learning solutions.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with stakeholders to design and implement new or improved processes and system enhancements, including reports, dashboards, and automation using tools such as SAP, SQL Developer, Microsoft Power Platform, or AI.
- Participate in the development of reports, analyses, and data visualizations to meet user and leadership requirements; assist in maintaining and enhancing existing reporting solutions.
- Work with subject matter experts and operations leaders to document current and future state business processes and develop supporting artifacts (process maps, use cases, requirements, mockups, test cases, job aids, etc.).
- Assist in gathering and documenting business and user requirements; support analysis and verification activities to help ensure consistency, traceability, feasibility, and completeness.
- Support planning and coordination of development, testing, deployment, and stabilization of solutions.
- Assist in planning, developing, and executing test plans, including string tests and end to end test scripts; coordinate with users to perform and document user acceptance testing (UAT) and support defect resolution.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of job aids and training materials; support and occasionally conduct end user training and solution rollouts.
- Work collaboratively with team members and stakeholders to solve problems using data driven approaches.
- Serve as a liaison between business users and Information Technology technical staff to translate business needs into clear functional and technical requirements.
- Manage assigned tasks across multiple cross functional initiatives, balancing business analysis, technical solution support, and project coordination responsibilities with appropriate guidance.
- Maintain the confidentiality of staff, management, and sensitive information.
- Perform other duties as assigned or required.

Job Qualifications
- Typically requires a bachelor's degree with knowledge of business practices, techniques, standards and related software/hardware , and computer systems. May substitute equivalent experience in lieu of education.
- Experience working with computerized management systems, such as ERP or business intelligence platforms; experience within a manufacturing or aerospace environment is desirable.
- Functional and technical analytical problem solving skills, including the ability to work with complex data and processes.
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office, MS365/One Drive, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Power Platform, Azure, Python, MS SQL developer.
- Basic project management skills, including task planning, coordination, and status tracking.
- Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences and to deliver training and presentations to a variety of cross-functional stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and time management skills; able to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure and with tight timelines.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a cross functional team with minimal supervision.
- Ability to travel as required, though travel is expected to be infrequent.
- Preferred: Experience with SAP modules such as Production Planning (PP), Materials Management (MM), Project Systems (PS), Sales & Distribution (SD), Financial Accounting (FI), and/or Controlling (CO).
